How We Raise Our Goldendoodle Puppies
Preparing Your Puppy for a Lifetime of Success
-
0–2 Weeks: Early Neurological Stimulation
From day two through day fourteen, each puppy receives daily ENS exercises—gentle tactile stimulation of the toes, holding upright and upside down, and brief exposure to a cool surface. These exercises encourage neurological growth and stress resilience. Puppies remain in our in‑home nursery under constant supervision.
-
2–4 Weeks: Sensory Exposure & Socialization
As eyes and ears open, we introduce a variety of sounds (crinkling paper, vacuum cleaners) and gentle human interaction. Puppies meet our children and adult dogs, learning to trust and explore.
-
4–6 Weeks: Potty & Crate Training
Potty training begins with litter‑box or tray systems to develop good habits. We expose puppies to tunnels, wobble boards and raised beds to build coordination and confidence. Crate acclimation starts with the door open and later closed.
-
6–8 Weeks: Basic Manners & Confidence
During the last weeks before adoption, puppies practice coming when called, waiting politely for attention and navigating stairs. We assess temperament and help match each puppy with the right family.
Enrichment & Socialization
From day one, we prioritize mental stimulation, early learning, and real-world exposure. Our puppies are raised in a warm, loving home environment with a wide variety of enriching experiences that build confident, friendly, and well-adjusted dogs. These early foundations support lifelong adaptability and joy in every new setting.
Exposure to everyday household sounds (vacuum, television, music, kitchen clatter)
Short car rides to build travel confidence
Walking on diverse surfaces (turf, hardwood, blankets, tile, grass)
Gentle scent introduction to foster curiosity
Daily cuddles and physical handling from adults and children
Playdates and integration with other dogs and animals
Interaction with people of all ages and appearances
Introduction to new spaces and environments inside and outside the home
Toys & Developmental Activities
We incorporate thoughtfully selected toys and exercises to support mental and physical development. These tools help each puppy strengthen motor skills, improve problem-solving, and learn through play.
Soft puzzle toys and safe teething chews
Snuffle mats for food discovery and scent work
Mini obstacle courses (tunnels, wobble boards, ramps)
Gentle scent games and food-based enrichment exercises
Early Potty & Crate Training
Puppies begin potty training with consistent pee pad use, progressing toward tray training or outdoor routines as they grow. Crate introduction is gentle and positive, starting with open-door exploration, cozy bedding, and comfort items to reduce anxiety. These early habits provide structure and ease the transition into their forever homes.
Daily Handling & Social Integration
Each day, we gently handle every puppy—ears, paws, tail, and teeth—to help them become comfortable with human touch and grooming. They enjoy supervised time with our family’s children and older dogs, learning appropriate play and healthy boundaries. Rotating puppies among littermates and handlers helps build emotional resilience, secure attachment, and social fluency.
